The Chippewa Fire Department had another busy year in 2023. We were dispatched to a total of 879 calls! That’s 879 times that your volunteers dropped whatever they were doing and responded to someone’s call for help. Following a national trend in the fire service, we were called for more medical calls than we were fire or rescue related incidents with 527 alerts for medical responses. We were also dispatched to 352 non-medical related calls such as structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, smoke and co alarms and other service type calls. We are a department that has been proudly serving since 1927 and we thank everyone for their continuing and unwavering support.
